Bergenfest is a 5-day outdoor music festival that takes place in the historic medieval castle and fortress grounds located in the city center of Bergen Norway. Over the past 25+ years it has grown to become one of Norway's oldest and leading music festivals. It showcases a diverse line up of top Norwegian and international artists in a mix of music genres including pop, rock, RnB, hip-hop, world music and more. Bergenfest is one of the most beautiful and memorable music destinations globally. 

We have been working with Bergenfest for almost 10 years and this year was the biggest of them all! After a 2-year hiatus with the music and entertainment industry shutdown due to the pandemic, it was important to go back to the drawing table and focus on three very important yet simple things. Coming together as a community, celebrating the human need for live music and entertainment, and being responsible for our footprint on earth. Bergenfest is proud to call themselves a "green" festival that holds the highest standards with all of their sustainability measures. Although Bergenfest is one of the oldest standing festivals in Europe, it has proven to be one of the most forward thinking. 

Working with the amazing staff at Bergenfest, we came up with a series of illustrations that focused on the energy and life of the fortress grounds, while uniquely combining elements of the city of Bergen with music structures to set them apart from any other festival experience. We also created a sustainability icon set and a series of patch designs that were used on this year's merchandise. This year Bergenfest hit an all-time high with close to 45,000 festival attendees over 5 days!
